Promoted to Engineering Manager for the mobile team in January, bringing exciting new challenges to my role. I manage a team of 3 engineers (1 iOS, 2 Android) and conduct bi-weekly 1:1s to ensure issues are surfaced early. I act as a buffer between the team and business stakeholders, allowing engineers to focus with fewer distractions while maintaining transparency about business decisions. Key responsibilities included creating a React Native proof of concept for hybrid application development, preparing weekly progress reports, communicating with key stakeholders and external partners, and interviewing prospective engineers.

Led the complete rewrite of the iOS app in Swift, modernizing the existing ObjectiveC codebase that had been developed by a sole developer. Successfully completed this major modernization project in approximately 4 months, bringing the app up to current standards and best practices. Following the technical overhaul, I collaborated closely with the product and marketing teams to develop strategic initiatives aimed at gaining traction and improving user retention on our mobile platform.
